depends on what was your initial weight.
for someone that weighs 250 pounds for example, it is safe.

Bad idea. Pick a plan, or just cut down on eating in general, eat smaller amounts of your regular food types, push yourself away from the table a little sooner, never go back for seconds helpings, stuff like that. Be very happy if you can just lose 3 pounds every week, or even every month. Whatever fits your life-style. If you are a male, the lowest amount of calories you should be eating each day would be 1,200. More if you are female. Just always be aware that you are on your "diet," don't bother telling your friends which one it is (because you really don't have a certain one on a personal plan like this) just be aware of what you are eating and wanting to avoid--like fried foods--just opt for baked or grilled fish and lean meats instead, chicken breasts are best as long as they are not fried, as far as meat, but fish is even better. Then again, if you want to spend a few days or even a week playing like you are off meat completely, just eat vegetables and you will notice a big difference in not only your weight but your stole habits. Like they say, if it floats, it's better. Neat.

You can be fairly certain a diet is unrealistic if it claims you can lose 10-20 pounds in one week. The recommended safe weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. Any weekly loss greater than this amount is mostly a loss of water and muscle, and does not change the body's fat content. In fact, the more gradual the weight loss, the more likely it is to be permanent.

Ok Kina, I looked at some of your other questions- so you're thirteen and four foot seven, you weigh 90 pounds and you want to lose 20 pounds? No, that is NOT healthy and it is not safe. You don't need to lose weight. It would interfere with your puberty, if not kill you if you lose too much. Please talk to a doctor about your weight loss obsession!

It's possible and probably safer than trying to lose more than that in two months. It all depends on the diet you plan on going on. 2-3lbs a week isn't too bad that's about eight pounds a month or more.

depends on how you do it... don't stop eating or anything, and if your going to use diet pills, I'd say use xenedrine efx ephedra free, it's one of the safer ones, and it works just like the other ones. But drinking lots of water, like a gallon a day, eating right and excersing almost every day, is the best way to go.
HAHA, you weigh 90 pounds, that's rediculous, and if it's true, screw losing weight, hell eat a steak or something.

Losing 2 pounds a week is good, with 5-7 pounds lost the first week as water.
It's aggressive, but you can do it by working out and watching what you eat.

The percentage of weight loss is probably more important. A skinny woman losing 20 lbs is not the same as a fat woman losing 20 lbs. Also, losing weight through bulimia or starvation is much worse because of electrolyte imbalances.

Kinda, but its border doctors say you should not loose more then 2 to 3 pounds a week. And in two months that would be 16 to 24 pounds. So yes it is safe, but be careful.Okay? Hope I helped!!!!!!!!!!!

on average - its not safe really to loose more then 5 pounds in a month, but as long as your eating a healthy diet and exercising then the amount of weight lost shouldnt be a concern, however if the person in question isnt eating appropriatly or isnt exercising and/or is just loosing weight then I would recommend seeing a doctor asap~ something could be wrong!
