It's an illusion, simply put dave has cut holes in the bottom of his shoes, from which he slips his toes out of. He then stands on the balls of his feet while the toes of his shoes point directly out. Notice that he always has the audience stand a certain distance away. without this key factor the illusion would be ruined. the distance is about 5-8 ft. try it with your friends have fun

Its an illusion. I saw the "Secrets of Magicians Revealed" . They are not really levitating. Its all camera angles.

I have seen a magician perform this and it is the creepiest thing that you could ever see! Yikes!

being a j*ck *** and there standing on there there toe facing away from the people...since there are angles of where people are standing it appears that hes floating. it also helps that he walked up to like hundreds of people and then puts the one where he fooled the people in the tapes he sells

They don't really it is all a visual perception. What YOU see is not what the audience sees. It's also deversion . Deverting your attention away from what is really happening.
