The non-custodial parent (father) makes appr. $400 gross weekly and the custodial parent (mother) gets cash welfare and food stamps only. Also if she marries someone new do they use the new husbands income as hers? Any help greatly appreciated.

In Pa. it is based on a scale, there are no hard and fast numbers. What the mother makes is a non issue, however, if alimony is awarded, it stops when she remarries. Standard seems to be between 15-25% of income.

It depends on how many children. For one child i would think around $350 per child a month, that is the norm for child support, if you are in arrears it can be higher (arrears meaning a back owe of child support, they can take up to half of your paycheck for that). If they have insurance then that must be also be part of the settlement decree of support. A parent married to someone not related to that child will not count against them. Married or not. It has no biological relation to that child so it will not count. My best of luck to you. Child support just kills the honest man and not the initially intended Deadbeats. Deadbeats don't care about working and paying any child support!

I did a web search for Child Support Pennsylvania & found this website that can calculate an estimate. There's probably more info there about stipulations such as marriage - but I think it's all in what the biological parents earn, not the step parents.

the step daddys income doesnt get counted in, although he indeed will be partaking in the child support income. you will be paying anywhere from $250 to $350 per child after confirmation of your income and taking into the consideration if you have a past due amount, she may have gotten cash assistance from the state that you may now owe to the state.

no her remarrying doesn't change his responsibility to his kids at all, there is no set formula that i know of, you each submit income and expense reports although it used to be that if she was on welfare she only got $50 regardless of what he paid because of the welfare, the rest went to payback what she is getting from the state. my bf pays his ex $200 a week for one kid.

I have one child at home. My guilt payment amounts to $1,000.00 per month. How guilty do you feel?
