Ask me 5 minutes from now.
Sudden death for the human race is pretty hard to imagine. It would take the sun going nova (which it won't in several million years), or something the size of the moon impacting the earth (the moon is in a stable orbit, and we would see something that large coming from a long distance off.) Even a sudden Gamma Ray Burst from a Black Hole will give us a few minutes warning.

Yes. The clock is ticking tho. Earlier civilizations on earth were more advanced than we are today in many respects. We have just discovered the 10th planet that was discovered by Archimedes about 500 years AD. Ten minutes we can be sure of, but 10 years may be another question.

10 minutes??? Of coz they can. It's not like a 100years or a 1000years from now. That, im doubtful.
