I'm coming off a crew season during which I had a calorie intake upwards of 3000 a day because of the workouts and I want to cut back on the intake because my body still thinks it needs that much food, even though I am no longer working out like I did during the season. My body directly reflects what I eat in terms of weight gain/loss, and I don't want to put the weight that I lost during the season back on.

Any help is appreciated.

Drink water when you have the urge to eat. Have plenty of calorie free snacks like carrot and celery sticks around.

drink water before and after to get the feeling of fullness and you will not want to eat any more. if not go for a walk around the park or the yard. if you have a dog take him with you for the walk.
