If he can barely relate to you how will he possibly relate to a teen aged son. will he see any grand kids you should do the reality math, he will be 56 when your child will be 20 but my youngest is 12 I'm 47 he will be 20 when I'm 55 but I'm 2 months older than my wife so that's balance and if you have more kids it will only be worse. I don't know if you will love him when he's 60 and your 30 or so.I say trouble. You might be just getting the kids out and get saddled with the age health problems and after kids you might not have the patients for it. YOU CAN BELIEVE ME ON THAT ONE. On a personal note of having an 18 year old daughter. If a 36 year old came around my 18 year old I'd run him off with a shot gun.when yours get up in years you WILL know what I mean!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S.If your not maried allready I would allways expect an empty bedside at any piont in time

There are issues with relationships that have age differences, but there are issues with ANY relationship. If you are happy, trust him and respect him, and he is happy, trusts you, and respects you, then build on the love and have a wonderful life. There will be issues down the road. You haven't experimented as much as he has because you haven't lived as long. In 20 years, your baby will be out the door, and you will be about the age of your partner, and he will be 56. Does that matter to you? I think society will have issues with your relationship, but you need to check out the concerns in your heart. Those are the ones that matter the most.

I'm 34 and I can't imagine what I could possibly have in common with an 18 year old. I think age difference doesn't matter if it's 50 and 30 maybe, but your age difference, in my opinion is going to cause you trouble.

Not if the two of you are mature enough to handle the age difference. Most important; is he a good husband and a good father?

uh yea, why were you sleeping with a guy that is in his mid to late 30's? He's 36, your not going to have anything in common with him. You both honestly, shouldn't get married, he should give the child the support it needs and thats it.
