While there are many CD to MP3 ripping programs, the best one I've used is CDex, which is freeware.

It's flexible, let's you choose the bitrate and naming conventions for your files, and also has CDDB database access, which saves a lot of time.

After you've done your rip, you can use your music management program to move your MP3 to your MP3 player.

You can download it easily from www.download.com.

burn the track on a new cd, then use iTunes or another program to rip the new cd into MP3 format (itunes by default rips to AAC, which can only be played on ipods). You most likely will need to go in and manually select the rip format.

You need an audio converter program. Search on downloads.com

mostly it depends on what program came with your burner (example, nero, easy cd creator, etc). they usually want you to pay for it. depending on how many cds you have it's worth it.
