The sky is blue becoz of the reflection produced by the gases to the light which already get reflected by oceans

It has nothing to do with the ocean being blue, these people are morons.

The answer is that light from the sun is a blend of many different colors:

Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet

When these colors blend together they make White light. We see different colors because various materials reflect various colors and absorb others in this spectrum. So if something looks Green, it is reflecting Green light and absorbing most of the rest.

We also see colors when things REFRACT. Light refracts when it bends around stuff that is very small. It has to be very small, otherwise light will reflect! The way that light refracts depends on dust, etc.. in the air, and most of the time we see BLUE because that refracts much easier than the rest of the light spectrum. We also sometimes see pink, or whatever, because the particular angle the sun light is coming in, and what happens to be floating around in the atmosphere.

If you are confused, look through a prism, you can see all the colors because it refracts different parts of the spectrum when you hold it in different ways.

Light comes in from the sun in all spectrum. We know this cause we can see all the colors. So then the light hits the earth and bounces back. Whatever it hits absorbs some of the colors are absorbed, like grass absorbs all but green, etc. Then, after it bounces back to the sky, we see a reflection of whatever is left over. Since most of the earth is blue ocean, that is the predominate color we consider as the color of the sky.

The sky is blue because blue light is more prone to scattering than other wavelengths, when passing through our atmosphere. Sunsets are red for the same reason; the low angle of the sun means the light passes through more atmosphere on its way to you, and all the blue light gets scattered away, leaving just the red.

The sky is blue because light passing through the atmosphere gets scattered like the balls in a pachinko machine by dust and water vapor and atmospheric gasses.

We see pale blue because blue light is more easily scattered than the other wavelengths, in our atmosphere at least.

In the first place the sky is not equipped by the proper anatomy to do what you are saying. In the second place go to the library and look at a grammer school science book to get your answer.

ah crap, it's blue?

i thought it was yellow... damn cones...(color vision joke... cones are receptors in you retina that detect color)

all color is light, just bouncing off things at different rates... when light passes through the atmosphere, it is refracted on the spectrum to appear as blue...
