Have you been under any irregular stress of any kind? This could cause your period to be late. My period is VERY regular, like clockwork, but I've had a couple of instances where I've been under a very heavy stress load which has affected it and caused lateness.

Girl it's hard to say. I think a lot of us women have been in this same exact situation and unfortunately it's just a waiting game. There's nothing that can tell you for sure this early and no matter how many negative pregnancy tests results you get this week, your mind won't be completely at ease for at least another week when you can really trust that the test will be accurate. My advice would be to save your money & hold off on taking another home pregnancy test this week and just wait another week until you can take the test and really know that it's accurate. Just try to focus on other things this week and keep your mind off of it (easier said than done, right?).

Depends on if you are doing other things in your life that could cause you to miss a period. Severe dieting could cause this. A lot of stress could cause this. Some prescriptions could cause it as well.

Home pregancy tests are not as accurate as the blood tests at the doctor's office.

I would not only worry about being pregnant. There are a lot of other medical problems that could cause a missed period as well. (homonal imbalances). Give it another 2 weeks, and have a pregnancy test taken at the doctor's office.

ive gone through the same thing for the past 8 months!!!you might just be stressing yourself out and your body is reacting to that.wait 3 days and take another test,if still negative and your period has not come i would go back to the doctor and have them do a blood test, they should be able to tell from that!!!good luck with whatever happens!!

You can skip a period for many reasons. I skip mine when I'm under tremendous amounts of stress or if I lose or gain weight too quickly.

I also used to skip periods when I had an STD that I didn't know about. I'd wait another week or two and then go visit the doctor again and have him/her do a full screening.

Good luck

Commercials say that "First Response" tests tells you 5 days before your missed period if you are pregnant. That is what I used and it was true. But I didnt take it until I was 2 months late. I was like you, I was never late so after the 1st month I kinda suspected I was. Good Luck!!

did u have sex aprox. 1-2 weeks after your period? if so u might be. if not, it could be your nerves causing you not to start. in the mean time consider yourself preg. until you start- you wouldn't want to harm the baby by drinking, smoking, ect. good luck!!

Buy another pregnancy test, and make another doctor's appointment.
