Yes you can wash it at a Laundromat and yes you can dry it one of the dryers. The only thing to remember is to open the dryer often and keep fluffing the down because it tends to want to clump when in a wet state. It should not take you any longer than one hour as long as you keep fluffing.

Go ahead and wash it in a front loading extra large capacity washer. Use the largest one because it will be more gentle by allowing extra room for the feather bed in the water. Use a perfume free fabric detergent. Do not use fabric softener it is not good for feathers.
When drying, DRY IT THOROUGHLY. Every ten minutes take it out, shake and redistribute feathers. You will know it is done when the feathers no longer clump and the bed is fluffy. Depending on the thickness it may take a long time to dry. If you have a dryer at home, that the bed will fit in, use that instead of commercial dryers. The bed must be completely dry otherwise mildew will grow in it.
Some dry clean only labels, are because the fabric cover is not well constructed. You might end up with a hole or seam rip which can be a real mess. If that happens stop drying patch or repair hole/seam then keep drying.
Once a year is all you need to clean it. Put it out in the sun if you want to "freshen it up" periodically. Use a zip up comforter cover if you want to clean the surface more often.
Good luck, rest well.

Yes you can wash a down feather bed at the laundromat and dry it; just make sure you wash it on gentle cycle, add softener on rinse cycle and most important wash a pair of tennis shoes with and also while it is in the dryer. Once in awhile during the drying cycle, fluff the feather bed and dry until almost dry; then take home and hang for about an hour and a half; then shake it, fluff it. and put it back on your bed. Good luck hope this works for you.

I tried washing and drying mine at home instead of drycleaning and I wouldn't recommend it. It messed up the feathers inside and then it smelled moldy and mildewey for a long time. Someone told me to put it in the dryer again with a softball (of all things) and that would get the stink out. It finally did after about 4 trips through the dryer.

there is mostly a tag someplace on the blanket which will inform you what the cleansing coaching are. I believe the previous answerers, you won't be able to bathe it contained in the washing gadget.
