It is possible Especially if recruitment falls way down and enough people that are in the military now do not re up Both things are happening more frequently They have upped the maximum enlistment age up to 42 now and are once again accepting people that do not have HS diploma or GED to try to keep the Numbers up so they do not reinstate the draft This should tell us something about the current state our military is in.

There most likely will be a reinstatement of the draft at some time in the near future(10-20 years), simply because we will eventually have to defend our borders.

The possibility is always there. As of now, i'd say its not very likely. But if this whole thing with north korea esculates, and iran doesn't stop its shady dealing, we could be put into a situation where that is needed.
Personally I am against it. I think somebody that willingly joins the military would do far better then several ppl who are forced.

no not with the amount of liberal *** cracks in our country. Not that the draft is a good thing but if we ever got in a war with a country like,China for example a draft might be a good idea or America might not exist anymore

I think that it all depends on whether or not we get involved in any more "conflicts" above and beyond the ones that currently occupy our time.

I doubt it.
Our military is highly specialized and our guys only want people who chose to be there watching their backs.
