Quite popular, actually, althoug opera's heyday was really in the mid 17th to 18th Centuries (Bach, Handel, and Mozart were quite prolific, and opera was just more in demand by various royal courts) Some highlights of the 19th and early 20th Centuries were Richard Wagner's Ring Cycle and other light favorites; Verdi's Aida, Rigoletto, and Il Trovatore; Offenbach's Tales of Hoffman; Bizet's Carmen; pretty much everything Puccini wrote; and George Gershwin's Porgy and Bess. From there, it sort of transitioned into musical theatre with Bernstein, Gilbert and Sullivan and later Sondheim and Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Hi, I was just responding to your answer..there are alot of young people on here that keep talking about abortions... i would contact them. Abortion is not the answer if people really knew what they did then they would think twice and give people like you and your husband a chance to love a child. God Luck God Bless!
