round opening iris?

looking for a mechanical device that opens in the middle no more than three inches round. an iris like on the stargate.

Go to a junk store-- buy a old camera cheap, look at the lens while pushing the button- if the shutter is there-- take it apart-- the shutter has one-- (I think--- been a long time!)-
do I need to add that the camera must be old?-- like a brownie hawkeye--
