The pacific coast of the USA is where redwoods grow. The redwood tree is called a sequoia tree. The largest of trees, the Giant Sequoias, grow only in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California. You'll find those in parks such as Sequoia National Park, Yosemite, and in Sequoia National Monument.

The coastal redwood grows along the coast, from Monterey, California, and north. There are many, many parks with sequoias, including Redwood National Park, which is in northern California, near Eureka.

There's one in southern British Columbia (Canada), as well. But I'm sure the one you're thinkingabout is the one in California. It's really amazing. Enchanting and humbling.
