yes...brazilians were not playing well since day one of this year world cup....it's not surprising that they lose to france....even if they beat france, they might not win the world cup !!

By the way they played that night--yes. Poor defending, egocentric plays, and just outright mediocrity; didn't get them through. France was a sleeping giant, and definitely sought to punish Brazil for even the slightest of errors. Slack marking was enough to have one put in the back of their net, via the elusive Henry. I had great hopes to see an Argentina v.Brazil finale, but we'll have to do with what turned out to be higher quality teams.(France et Italy) Maybe the South Americans can get it together next time. Oh..and they should definitely practice the penalty shots.

What a superb leveller this game of football can be!! It always ensures that the most deserved team stays all through. No doubt Brazil had entered the competition as favorites and they kept giving statements as in "In Brazil, coming second is equivalent to coming last". Its ill-luck that they had to be kicked out of their sleep in the 1/4 stages but that is what FIFA wants - compete at all levels. Adieu Brasil. Until 2010, South Africa

France blew Brazil out of the water. Totally outclassed them as a team and pretty much at every individual position.

Totally, Brazil was terrible. The whole tournament they didn't play well just turned it on when needed and they couldn't do that agains France.
