I grew up thinking I had to be perfect in everything I said or did. As I grew up and was out in the world on my own I realized that imperfection was really where true perfection, beauty and joy existed. I now take great pleasure in admitting when I am wrong, asking for help, laughing at my mistakes, and saying "I'm not perfect".
I think people sometimes get this idea in their head of how life should be or how they should be and end up driving themselves crazy (or missing out on life) trying to achieve perfection. This could come from tv, our parents, who knows.
I still always try to look, be and do my best but now I just don't stress out if I can't make that happen. Most times perfection happens without your even trying. :)

As a child, I developed into a perfectionist because I took a lot of flak for any mistakes I made. People seem to love to criticize each other, so some of us may feel that the only way to keep petty people off our backs is to *not* make mistakes.

Kinda tough for human beings to do, huh?

One should always try to do the right thing, but we all need to cut each other some slack and understand that no one will ever really achieve such a high-spirited goal.

If you can be perfect than why not try to be perfect? Life is all about changing, and part of changing is being perfect. Practice make perfect, and imagine life without perfection. Imagine what you'll look like, and stuff around u.

People who try to be perfect simply feel better about themselves if they try for perfection. They shouldn't however expect everyone else to live up to their same standards.
