To the people just saying the universe isn't infinite point blank, you don't know that. There are a number of theories to support that, but they are far from irreproachable. Anyway...

Infinity doesn't necessarily mean that every possibility is fulfilled. Here is what I think is an illustrative example. Say we are the number 3 in the sequence that stretches on forever in both ways

...,- 2 n,...,-10,-8,-6,-4,-2,-0,2, 3 ,4,6,8,10,12,..., 2 n, ...

We are the only odd number in the whole infinite bunch. So although working with an infinite space might open up some possibilities, it guarantees nothing.

Well, that sounds good in theory, but you must remember that 'infinity' is a mathematical concept, and not a physical measurement. The Universe is not infinite. Sorry.

(I know you said, 'unlimited' but that means much the same as infinite.) This is not to say it is a bad question. In fact, I think it is an excepent question. Keep on asking!

OK. I don't think so I think there could be a finite number of intelligent species out there some where. If there where how come none of them have taken over our satellites to inform us they are here or there or where ever they are. Maybe we are the first ones and all the others that some of us say we have seen are products of our imagination like God.

The universe is not infinite in matter, though it may be infinite in size. Or, at the least, it is an open system-forever expanding, and it will therefore be infinite in side at some point!

I don't think there is an unlimited amount intelligent beings since the universeis not filled with galaxies.

this universe is not unlimited, their are at least 13 more. we may just be a bubble among many. we may never know exactly how many there are. it like traveling the speed of light and turning on your lights.

Sure. And in the grand scheme of things, who says *we"re* intelligent? Other beings might be so sophisticated that we resemble beetles in comparison.

one of my favorite quotes "To assume we are the only species in the universe is as absurb as to assert that in a entire field sown with grain that only one seed will grow."

Yes. So your next question should be, where are they or why haven't they visited us.
PS I don't see anything bizarre about this question-pretty straightforward I'd say.
