Has anyone eaten here recently? Was it any good? It is pricey, so I am hoping there is more than just a great view.

I haven't been there for a while, but for a reason. I always felt it was too pricey for the food, the service, the helpings etc. It is a great view but less than 3/4 away is the same view from The Fish Market. The Fish Market has 2 restaurants; upstairs is priced a little more towards Harbor House (but still not as expensive) and it's called Top of the Market and it's linen place mats, linen napkins, a little bit more quiet; but great food. Downstairs has paper place mats and wonderful food. It's all mesquite grilled and it's all fresh. You can get you choice of different sauces. My favorite is their scallops, wrapped in bacon grilled and I get Au Gratin potato's, and Coleslaw and then we split an artichoke. With what we saved by not going upstairs we usually get an order of steam clams and a big thick garlic bread that's phenomenal! But that's just me, I also if you want water dining I love The Boat House on Harbor Island it's a different water view, but still pretty not that far away. But (I JUST REMEMBERED, I am so glad!!!) The hottest new restaurant in town just opened up on Harbor Island too, It used to be The Ruben E LEE, now it's called Prime and San Diego's premiere chef is there and it has a stunning view of downtown and Coronado and all the boats. OK That would be my pick; It's all everyone talks about now...but I'm not going to get anyones hopes up as I haven't been there I'll find the website for you
And it's called Island Prime. Email me if you want more info I love letting people know how fabulous San Diego is...
