ok well last year i got a penpal and she wrote me and i never wrote back!well i ment to but i never had the time.and now she wrote me back should i write her a letter and say her letters got lost in the mail or should i tell her the truth???

Tell her the truth. Having a pen pal involves a certain amount of trust. Leave it to her on whether she wants to accept it or not.

Honesty is the best policy! She's just a penpal right? I'm sure it's not the end of her world when she finds out the you just couldn't get around to writing a letter? It's 2006!!!! Who has time to sit down and write a letter anymore? Maybe ya'll should be email penpals...

Yes tell her the truth and after that tell her what is the best way to keep in touch beside letters.There are so many ways to do it right.Find a way that suits you and her the best so that you will be in constant communications.

Lying is never good, not even to a complete stranger. Why would you hook up with a pen pal if you don't write back? Isn't that what pen pals are all about!
