Yes I do! I love my computer so much that I want even go outside and get fresh air unless I have to like today I've been on it for like 9-10 hours total <-- I know...that's awful. My boyfriend is the same way I am over videogames.

i think that kids today are lazy to play. Computers and video games is not the main reason why we are lazy to play. If we have better game to play than we would play. I think there should be more advertisement on telling kids to get involved. Some of the kids have nothing to do, and that is one of the reason why they're on the computers and into video games.

I honestly think that video games and computers are a lot of kids problems today. I can remember when I'd get up in the morning and play until the sun went down. I can't get my son away from the video games or TV unless I flip off his electricity to his room

No, it is not the kids that are lazy (well, a number of them are; however, not most) it is the PARENTS that are too lazy. My children have a computer (actually on for the internet, and one for games), a PS2, DVD players, and all the trimmings, yet they seem to be able to find the door outside. Why? Because I tell them to get off their dupas (Polish for backsides) and get out of the house. I force them to get away from the electronics and out into the sunshine. My son goes fishing, hangs out with his girlfriend, walks around with friends, etc. My daughter visits friends, plays in the yard, and does everything else that kids are supposed to do for exercise. And, guess what? They aren't overweight, either, even though they do not eat the healthiest of diets when they are at their mother's house... because they are exercising.
So, there is your answer... the parents are too lazy to be adults and parents and to get their kids out of the house. That would require effort on their part, and would take them away from their electronics.

It is not due to the computers or games. The laziness is due to the parents laziness. In order for the children to play outside the parents would have to watch them. Parents are either too busy or too lazy to do this.

Kids are quite energetic about their computer play and video activities. If kids, or adults, had other avenues of activities available to them in ways that were attractive to them, they might go for a walk or pick up a bat and a ball...but not until they want something different.
So, not lazy, just otherwise occupied.

Video games are taining our next generation of soldiers today. Many remote drones are already being used in American wars around the globe. Soldiers sit hundred or even thousands of miles away and play a "video game" that actually has a remote controled small drone plane firing hundreds of rockets and guns at enemies on the ground. As soon as ground robot technology catched up they will be used for that, too. Wake up, guys, do you think that most people do what they want to because they are "free", or because the system dangles whatever carrot in front of them they want them to chew on?

No, but they can become more engrossed in the games because they are so much more entertaining. Mine may not get outside as often as we would like but they do play board games, and have fun "pretending". Life is different now with both parents working and the dangers of kids being outdoors unsupervised, too many nut-cases out there!! But parents (myself included) do need to make more of an effort to get outside for family activities more often.

Lazy or too many options?? Kids today have many more entertainment options than their parents or grandparents had. Their grandparents had to entertain themselves because the only electronic device that they had was a radio. Their parents had television in addition to radio, but the TV usually had 1-3 stations to watch. Today's kids have TV, radio, DVDs and videos, computers, handheld electronic games, game consoles, and many more options.
