UFO's certainly are. In terms of things that fly that I can't readily identify.
I do not, however, jump right to alien invasion the second I see anything that I can't explain. That's what ghost pirates are for.
Intelligent life in the universe? Most likely. Daily drivebys involving anally-probed hillbillies? Notsomuch.
My favorite part of the great alien invasion? The government coverup! And not just here in the States, either. You'd need a global conspiracy. Every single country on Earth! Even those who can't agree on which side of the river is the border somehow magically settled on a single message engineered at keeping YOU from knowing the truth about the Martians.

There are real unidentified flying objects, and some of them are saucer shaped, but they are not from other planets, if that is what you are asking. Most of them turn out to be weather phenomena or familiar aircraft seen from unfamiliar angles.
I myself have seen something I swore was a tadpole-shaped object floating motionless in the air, but when it moved, I could se the rotors and realized that it was just a helicopter.
The military has designed some experimental 'saucer' shaped craft, and perhaps they have flown prototypes, but this is one reason why air force bases are restricted to the general public.
Anybody advanced enough to make an interstellar voyage would behave much more intelligibly than the reports you read in the Weekly World News.

Spell check! But, yes, UFOs are real. They have been reported world wide for many years. Now, you have to consider the exact translation of UFO. Unidentified flying object. Not all are from other worlds.
