well im not the best at this stuff but there are two reasons: one deals with religious ways, (that god made us and put us here on earth) and the other is the scientific way, which is evoultion, (and that is why certain animal structures are homolougous to those in the human structure)
but....there are lots of reasons why humans are on the earth and living, like if the atmosphere were to change dramatically, (like lets say...oxygen or nitrogen levels change a lot) then....everyone would end up dying off (i hope i kinda explained it ^_^; ) (I'll stop rambling now)
