Are you frightened? Not concerned at all? How do you think the US should handle it, or do you think it's anyone's business? Should the US let the UN handle everything? Sound off...

Man, there are a couple of really profound answers here. I'm going to make a rare move and put this one to vote. For all the people who say they don't care, you've apparently never watched any war documentaries, or read about the histories between different countries, or worse, you have no idea what's going on in the global scene. It's sad, because it *does* affect you - it trickles down just like everything else. I also agree that Bush is trigger happy. He's probably sitting in the O.O. trying to figure out how many personnel we can spare to keep an eye on N. Korea and Iraq at the same time. America and Americans need to wake up!!!!!!! We are not save within these borders, thanks to diplomacy, policy and military strategic failures on the part of our administration.

Let the UN handle it, or wait until they mess up and hit Russia, China or Japan, in which case, one of them will step in and annihilate them without the aid of the US.

I really think there's more of a threat here than most people perceive. Not just from North Korea, but also from Russia and China who continue to support North Korea's arms production process. They probably are selling North Korea materials to build the weapons or weapon designs...and would lose money if their nuclear program were terminated. Also, Bush is a bit trigger happy. We've got two more years of him before election year, and I can only hope that he'll hold off that long and doesn't do anything. I really see something brewing between North Korea, Russia, and China...and maybe others. I agree with one of you. World War III might not be too far off.

No. Korea is going to push us to attack them and the sad thing is (much like the Iranian situation) they have the ability to get the first shot in. They will make it count because they both have nuclear capability.

It would only take a handful of nuclear weapons to take out US military command post in the Middle East and South Asia if No. Korea and Iran were to get on the same page. It would be the real modern day Pearl Harbor and we would be in serious trouble. An attack of this magnitude would make 9/11 look minuscule in loss of life. I am not saying this is going to happen but it is a real possibility.

It represents a failure in US policy, diplomacy and intellegence.

There was progress made in late 90's, Colin Powel stated that the US would continue the Sunshine Policy, then Bush contradicted him.

and made fools of South Korea.

It is a potential threat, they did not have nukes when Bush took office, now they are testing.

Yes the world should get involed espically the US.but look who we sent to the UN Josh Bolten.

This is a policy failure.
