First I would decide 'why' you're having the yard sale. If you are having one to make room, then price really low. If you are trying to make some extra cash, then decide what is a fair price and "start" there. Allow for negotiations. Some good ideas are "all you can fit into a bag" deals with clothing. Be sure to stipulate high price items don't go into the bag.

No matter how much you price your stuff for, ALWAYS be willing to negotiate! If you price something for $10 and someone offers you $5, take it. It's better to have the money than to still have all of your stuff at the end of the day. The whole point of a yard sale is to not have to drag tat crap back into your house! :o)

do you have "good stuff" ...clothing doesn't "go" very well so be really reasonable. If you have Other good stuff and display everything so they gotta browse and mix some cool outfits in here & there then people are willing to go thru the clothes. If clothes is all you have 50-4.00 tshirts, jeans 2.-10. tapes...what are tapes? .50-2.
Good luck ...wish I could help
P.s. Make the margarita's up the night before!!!!

keep it cheap you want to get rid of it maybe simple stickers put up a sign that shows how much each sticker costs (red 1$ etc) then on the second day make everything half off nothings worse than a garage sale where everything costs the same as if you were at the store

Do you want to keep the stuff or get rid of it?
Are you doing it for a profit or wanting to help someone in need out?
Try Good Will or Purple Heart Organizations to come and pick your stuff up. You should be blessed that you have the OPTION to get rid of your old clothes. Others Do Not.

Try to remember how much money the stuff your selling was when you bought it. For example if you bought a cd that was like 15.00 then sell it for like 10.00. But if its something big like a designer blouse that you bought for lets say 100.00 then sell it for around 35.00-50.00. Just make sure you wash all your clothes before selling them. And also check for rips

Yardsales are all about negotiating. Don't put prices on things. If someone is interested in something guage how much you think he is interested and how much you think he/she will spend on it. then set a price. Give discounts for multiple purchases, like 2 for 10 dollars. People will buy a lot of stuff if they think its a good deal.

clothes should be 25 cents to a dollar depending on how nice/new it is. cd's $1, or 5 for $4. keep things cheap. most items are between 5 cents and a dollar. If you are asking for too much, no one will buy it, or they will try to get you to take less for it.
