Global warming is caused by the Sun. It is a little variable. There is astronomical evidence that the Sun has flared up before and killed lots of species by the steam of the oceans evaporating.

I'm sorry to cut my answer short, but I have written on this same topic several times before and I'm getting tired of repeating myself. Please look at my previous best answers, and you will see what I have written before.

It is not man made. It cannot be changed by man. If it warms up, we will just have to move out cities inland. Al Gore is using this as a political football. just the same way Columbus took advantage of ignorant primitive people by threatening them with an eclipse he knew was coming and could not have stopped if he wanted to; but he got them to 'contribute' supplies for his voyage.

The difference is, Gore is blaming others for something he knows will happen anyhow, so that in the generations to come, he will get credit in the history books, and they will get the blame. He is a disgusting hypocrite.

What are you asking exactly. Global warming is a problem that affects every liveing and non-living thing on Earth. It is becoming increasingly dangerous. It causes significant climate changes and can be devastating if the problem escalates.

The Earth's climate is affected by streams in the ocean which pass by every landmass. For example, ther is a never ending cool stream that passees by California which keeps that cool. There is also a warm stream the passes by the gulf coast whish keeps those surrounding states warm. These streams and their constantsly depend on the salinity in the water. (something to do with the density.) If global warming melts the polar ice caps this freshwater would mix with ocean water and upset the salintity, thus altering the ocean streams, then that would change the climate.

Have you seen The Day After Tommorrow? That movie is strangely correct for holywood. There is no saying exactly what will happen if global warming gets worse, but we must do all we can to keep it from occuring.

Read the news story about the 2 men who went to the North Pole. (mostly by canoe) the polar bears have no ice, they are becoming cannibals and will soon be extinct.

When I saw those guys at a watery North Pole I gave up all hope.

i think that everyone is making it out to be more than it really is. I mean if the earth's temp. only increased 1 degree in the last 1,000 years, I would say that's NOT a huge freaking deal. The people who believe all this are PARANOID!
