Not that good. They let the Boston Red Sox do some whoop-a$$ on them last week.

Everybody on the N.Y, Mets baseball team is equal. As great a need Pedro Martinez and Tom Glavin are on the mound, the Mets play baseball, the way baseball should be played, as a team.

The N.Y. Yankees have ball players who do not mix and blend well. Think of the pay disparity between A-Rod and other ball players on the club and the fact A-Rod is so underwhelming considering what is expected of him.

Baseball is a team sport. I could easily envision A-Rod being traded in some huge off season deal out of the Yankee franchise. And, if Brian Cashman doesn't do something, he too, could easily be axed. But, all in all...

LETS GO, METS

are you serious?
the mets, let me remind you have gotten there asses handed to them recently by the yankees and redsox, there play-off aspirations are held together by a frail player, who is one "lettin it fly" pitch away from blowing out his shoulder in pedro martinez, who the mets hope can be full bore for september and praying that the bullpen holds together, they are set to start a rookie pitcher hoping to god he can fill out the third or fourth place in the rotation and eat up some innings. And lets not forget the benson for julio deal that is looking like a train wreck right now considering julio is not on the team and they need a starter desperately and benson filled that role nicely last year as a 3rd or fourth guy, kazmir would look great next to pedro and do not forget zambrano.
So are you serious? really serious?
The Mets are a train wreck waiting to happen and when it collides I wonder if anyone in that front office will get out of N.Y. alive? there is probably a better chance of pedro staying healthy and being a force come september and october than the mets straitening out the mess they are going to have for 5 to 7 years up the road due to buy now, spend now, screw the future, they are or rather want to be the national league version of the yankees and they are driving there organization into the ground just like team george in the bronx.
SO NO, The mets are not good.
The question you asked is a double negative, smarten up

It is the National League dummy. The American League, as will the Cardinals, will wipe the Mets off the face of the earth.

Did you even watch the Red Sox series?
Question should be why are the Devil Rays so damn good.....cuz they just swept the team that swept your Mets.

I wouldn't get too ecstatic just yet. Not with the way the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees handled them in interleague play.

It's the division. They are in one of the worst divisions in the league. The National Leauge is just worse anyway.

They have the Power hitters this year and they have a good set of pitchers when they are not injured.
