I'm new to the internet, (yeah, I know..) and would like to meet some people to e-mail with. I'm not just looking for romance, nor do I want to spend any money to find friends. Got any ideas?

Actually, this place is very good. You can actually write ppl using their messenger, or e-mail. And if you allow others you access you that way they can contact you, also. If someone likes one of your answers or questions they will sometimes contact you. I've met several nice ppl on here. Just keep coming back!
All you gotta do is click their name...it'll give you their page, you can e-mail, im, or view their 360 page if it's allowed! Good luck!

I found that yahoo groups has a variety of different subjects and topics of interest and you definetly meet alot of people and make friends from all over the world .

If you want to email people that's one thing if you want to im instant message that's another I don't know how im works but to email you just need peoples email address I would add a list of things you are interested and ask people to write to you good luck you can email me if you like
