I mean how can you possibly have space to be inffinite? Thats just so hard to even comprehend, it's crazy and it hurts my head thinking about it :p

Of course space is limitless. If there was an end wouldn't there be something beyond that point?

Physicists have tried to answer that question by talking about multiple universes. But if you have parallel universes that are infinite, in my mind that is just a continuation of space and time, and therefore this “multi-verse” is the true universe. The definition of universe is the totality of all matter and energy that exists in the vastness of space, whether known to human beings or not. So if there are an infinite number of “universes”, then the universe is infinite. Think of it as graphing an algebraic system; if you have two systems that create lines on top of one another, the solutions of which they intersect is infinite, yet is limited to the points on the line. So even if there is a limit to our “universe”, assuming that there are multiple universes, the True Universe would still be infinite, because there is an infinite number of a parallel universe.

On the other hand if you are talking about just our universe, I still believe it is infinite because that is logical. Even though this seems inconceivable, it really isn’t… I just conceived of it (I’m just kidding). Space is “nothingness”. If it were to end that would mean something is obstructing it. What can obstruct nothingness? Well the answer is “somethingness” AKA matter/energy. Just because a road ends, doesn’t mean there is nothing beyond it. If the laws of physics change past the point of the material universe it doesn't mean it is the end of the universe, just the end of how we new it. There is no logical way of explaining a Universe that is limited, because there would need to be an existing obstruction beyond that point, and an obstruction for that obstruction. There would be an infinite number of obstructions.

I remember reading some boff Science book that tried to explain the shape of space!! If space has an end, then what is there after that? It can't just stop somewhere - it has to go on infinitely, that's the only logical explanation!
Bloody Big Bang Theory - don't get me started! No one saw it happen, no one can prove it did. Scientists look at what happens in space from one perspective; from earth. If and when they travel into space, they might see that what they knew today was totally wrong, the way they used to think the Earth was flat, and you could sail over the edge!

If you think about it, it's hard not to reach the conclusion that some aspect of reality must extend to infinity. It may not be the 3D matter/energy realm that our senses encompass, but if our universe is one bubble in a cosmic soft drink, there must be 'liquid' for it all to float around in. That 'liquid' may stretch to infinity, or it may exist within another membrane or container. If we were to leave our bubble and travel through the 'liquid', all the way to the edge, and peer through the membrane, we may find that the whole thing is just another bubble floating in a yet larger container, or, we may realize that we are looking at our own atomic structure. As above, so below. Does our brain exist in reality, or does reality exist in our brain? It is mind boggling to think about how tiny our bodies are compared to our imagination. I have a hunch that space will end wherever and whenever human consciousness collectively agrees it does. Right now, we are undecided, hence, so are the boundaries of space. As above, so below.

To answer your final question in your details section...
As space is ever expanding, due to the Big Bang Theory, our current technology limits us from ever achieving the goals of reaching the edges of space and time. I believe that this is the reasoning behind the idea of space being infinite and having no end. Ultimately it is our own limitations that are holding us back from reaching such a goal. Thanks for the cool question!

I believe that there are no ends to space. As part of being human, we are always curious, and from this, many question will start to developed, and there will be no end. Right now, i think we are like small ants that havn't discover why we are here, and what cause us to be here. But i'm sure, we will be more advance in the future.

There is no end for space. There is a theory of expanding space. There is another theory that universe is oval shape and limited.Nothing can be proved.Since the begining and end cannot be found out we have to believe space as infinite.

Space is not infinite since it must have had a beginning. It is constantly expanding since the big bang though, so it has no definite end.

there is no end to space it is a continous area that goes on forever. it is infinitive becuase as far as we know right now there is nine planets, but that is only as far as we have gone. there is bound to be many more planets further away from the sun. there isnt like a wall that you can crash into if you go to far into space. it will never end.

Yes. Really far away. Infinity is simply a concept because it isn't possible. The only thing that is infinite is the Creator, who made the universe start.

The end is the limitation of the device used to measure. It is infinite because the users know thier device is limited. The day they find a limitless measurer, they'll find the limits. It can be infinite becuase it can. Sorry
