For those of you that had it, did it affect your cycles? Did you gain or lose weight, or any other physiological changes?

I've had mine done for 7yrs now. Didn't have any affect on me, other than being off the birth control pills, I do have a heavier cycle.

Those symptoms you describe are associated with hysterectomies with oophorectomies (removal of the uterus and ovaries). In a tubal ligation it's the fallopian tubes ( the tube the egg travels from the ovary to the uterus) is cut on both sides and the ends tied or burned to prevent pregnancy.Your estrogen production is not affected. There should not be weight changes, cycle changes or other physical changes. It may give you a sense of freedom and relief from that nagging feeling of possible pregnancy. Good luck and have a fast recovery.

My cycles may have gotten a little heavier if anything. No weight gain, plus I don't have to even think about birth control.
