I'm from the US, so I don't know if this affects my answer, but... I actually never mentioned it to my mother or sister, only my best friend. I think some of it had to do with the fact that, as a preteen, our society really chalked sexuality up as an issue that wasn't to be talked about. In many European countries, many teens openly discuss sexuality, and don't have inhibitions about talking to elders. Some say this attitude correlates to the much lower teenage pregnancy rates there. We live in a country where a channel gets fined millions of dollars for an accidental, and very quick, exposure of a breast... the very thing many of us suckle from in our infancy. It's pathetic.

No!!! I was still a young girl...I was only ten. And I got it right before the first softball practice of the season. Also I had to take this nine hour trip...when I was flowing extremely heavy. But, now that I'm 17 I still hate it but I'm glad I have it so I know that in about 10 years I can have kids.

Mine was a negative one. I didn't have any cramps or bloating. I went to school came home and I felt really sick so I laid down on the couch with a really bad headache. Then I got up and went to the bathroom and used the restroom and I had really bad diarrhea, then I went back to lay down and then I vomited all of the floor. Then I felt better. I still get diarrhea on my period, but only occasionally will I throw up. I never get cramps or bloating, but I think vomiting and diarrhea is way worse.

because the abode being pregnant try in straightforward words seems for HCG, it really is going to arise detrimental. The exception is once you've a difficulty that would want to reason a pretend constructive being pregnant try. I actual have an immune deficiency gene it truly is wide-spread to attempt this. So, if someone with that gene expressed had a phantom being pregnant, they very well would try constructive even although they are not pregnant.

a red party? Oh yeah that would go over well since most that get their first period are just young kids.
In my case I was nine and my mom hadn't had
"The talk" with me yet so I was totally clueless as to what was happening to me. When she did find out she handed me to kotex and told me to use it. I didn't know how to do that either. (I guess she figured somebody had already talked to me). She got me a book on human development later that day and that was her way of talking to me about it.
Thank goodness times have changed these days!

I would say it was negative. But fortunately I had light periods till after the birth of my daughter at 34.
I remember guys in college that would say they could always tell when a girl was having a period but they could not seem to tell when I was. My husband claims that I was exceptionally calm during my pregnancy too.

I really wouldn't say it was a horrible or amazing experience. It was more of a shocking one. Its just you go all these years with no problems like this and then one day out of the blue you get a surprise!!!

Mine was pretty neutral, I guess. Started at home one night, and my mom had talked about it before, so I had at least an idea of what was going on.
Though, personally, I would definitely not consider a "red" party a positive experience. I mean, at that age, I would have been absolutely mortified if my parents had tried to have one of those. And even now.. that seems kinda ridiculous to me.

I don't think a lot of women have positive first experiences and an woman that does is a very lucky one.
I, like most women was not very lucky.
I don't think it was too bad though.
