I have a petreol powered car and need to replace its worn out turbo, I happen to have a turbo from a diesel cat gathering dust. Research so far shows that the diesel turbo will produce 8 psi of boost without modification whereas the turbo on my produced 5 psi before I modified it to run at around 8 psi.
I ask the question because petrol cars reach higher revs and reach them faster than diesels. So would the tubo be spinning faster than it is designed to if used on a petrol engine?
