R035 answers no more than any other sport! That is the biggest load of rubbish ever! Come to Australia and watch the AFL. You will see that these guys are men and can take a hit and show no pain.

standstill 22, the Italians are the worst of anyone at diving! You obviously have been watching the discovery channel if you think the Italians are trying not to stage a free kick!

I think next world cup they should have 5 side line judges, and when someone takes a dive the judges should step up to the sideline and hold up their cards and mark the dives. 5.9, 5.7, 5.8, 6.0, 5.8.
Then there would be a good way of settling tied scores (draws).
There would be no need for penalty shoot outs, the best dive would decide the match. (yuk, yuk, yuk.)
I stopped watching the games the players acting, dives etc and the refereeing, red cards missing penalties etc were too much its toooo
political and like the olympics has become a professional circus.

I think this will be a dramatic match. And by "dramatic", I mean in the best of ways; with great plays, and moments that only the the "beautiful game" can bring. France--an aging team that still packs a punch--will play evenly with Italy. Both sides will wear each other down in a long game of attrition, and close shots to goal. Eventually one side--probably the French--will blunder badly in a crucial moment close to the end. It can end in extra time, as was the case with Germany; or simply in a classic penalty shootout. Either way, my prediction is Italy will triumph in the end. I don't believe the French can actually withstand in focus until the penalty phase--should it come. They will blunder at some point. But given Italy's track record with penalties, they can never be too cavalier. I hope the best wins.

I don't know.
I support Italy, but I also know Italian players are quite good at that. But I'll just enjoy it. I'll force myself to belief, acting and diving are part of the game.
It's the final ... I wouldn't want anything to spoil my enjoyment in watching the game ...
FORZA ITALIA ... !!!!!

We are talking about soccer right? OF COURSE this will happen, just look at any hockey game, all kinds of dives...LOL.
I think Italy will overcome all the shenanigans and win 2-1.

Of course. Why it should be different to all the other games. And I didn't know that that was to be a man. Silly me, I though that working and supporting a family, being there materially and spiritually for them, was the mark of a man.

i hope not. i think the italians are trying to be better about it with all the criticism theyve been getting about it and i dont think france has really been a part of the whole diving thing.

I would have to agree. If that's how it's going to be I'll just have to tune out. I'll give it about 15 minutes.
