I definitely think so........not that I was alive back then but I have to believe that it was more simple and less stressful. I am sure there was no multitasking without all of the technologies of today. You had to focus on the matter at hand back then and now you have a zillion things to take care of at once - email, voicemail, cell phone, regular phone..........I think the simplicities of yesteryear made for much less stress.

No.

Each era has it's own stresses.

If you had to gather nuts and berries to feed your children, and there was a shortage because of a drought, then you would feel just as stressed.

If you had to worry about getting the crops in before the animals ate too many, or the locus came, you would be stressed.

If you had to get 55 shirts made before you could go home, and you were not allowed to talk at work, you would be stressed.

If you had you squeeze your entire family into a 2 bedroom apartment and you had 10 children, then your brother and his family just got off the boat and needed to stay somewhere while he found a job to support them, you would be stressed.

Like I said, stress is not just caused by your boss needing you to type up a letter as you were packing up to go home. It has been there through out history.

Good night.

hmm good one. Yes and no. Yes, because we are so advanced in technology now. We can be reached day and night ; all the time. It isn't that great with cell phones. My hubby doesn't it own one. lol. But back then for example; owning a farm, a rely totally on your crop to feed your whole family for the winter. Imagine a bad year and your kids die.

Anywho, I am glad to live in this century. I feel lucky that I am able to have all this stuff. Computer, cellphone, tv and whatnots. I still don't own an Ipod yet. Maybe christmas....

Well I'm not sure. It is less stressful then in old times, because we now have cars, fridges, indoor plumbing Ect.Ect.Ect. But on the other hand it was less stressful then, because you would not have had to worry so much about crime rate and such. So I guess you could say that no matter in which time period you live in, your day to day life will be filled with stress. That's just how life goes!

No. We just have different challenges than in the past. We used to have to hunt for our food and rely on that person being good at it. Now we have insane communication capability so more productivity is required from us. But, we only have to go to the store for food.

Nah, i feel if your life is so hard, then you made it that way. If people would just back and stop being so stressed about wanting to be on top and having the most of everything then they're lives would be alot easier.

no, becuz laws sucked back then and there were more diseases. if you look at it in terms of AIDS or venerial diseases, or maybe crime rates and etc, modern times are worse.
