No, don't be worried! The only cause for concern when getting bit by a misquito (pregnant or not) is west nile virus, and in all reality the incidence of this virus is actually extremely rare. If you happen to start to feel sick within the next few days, you may want to go get checked out with your physician just in case. I'm sure you can google for symptoms of west nile...but don't obsess about it hun, because chances are you are FINE. From now on though, I recommend using some bug spray when you are outdoors. This will prevent the misquitos from biting you. Call your doctor, or ask the people at your local pharmacy what formula they recommend (the OFF brands work really well) and what's safe to use during pregnancy. Good luck!

You shouldn't worry but I know you will. It's in our nature. Make sure you have open communication with your Dr. Write down every single question that pops into your mind so you can bombard him with them when you go for a check up. And if it is something thta you are so worried about that you can't wait for your next appointment, don't hesitate to call the office. I garuntee someone there will be able to answer your question and calm your fears. Don't worry about being a pest, it's their job and they expect it! Good Luck!

Go get a book called " what to expect when you are expecting". It's the pregnancy bible and will help with all these questions. It's excellent in describing all of these little things that worry moms and help distinguish when something is "normal" or not.
Good Luck!

Do not worry, but with West Nile virus transmitted by mosquitoes, I would slather myself with Avons "skin so soft." It is not toxic, but keeps the bugs away. I am talking about the bath oil and I used it faithfully on my growing belly and had ZERO stretch marks after the birth. Good luck honey and enjoy your pregnancy, it is truly the greatest gift by GOD.

Shouldn't bother you, just typical itching--lol. That book that was talked about earlier, what to expect when your expecting is a good one. Also, if your worried about bug spray while outside. Lavender oil works to ward off buggies.

I really wouldn't worry about that if I were you. Unless of course you get an infection or something, getting bit while you are pregnant is the same as when you aren't.

Most probably, getting bit by mosquitos is not going to be hazardous to your pregnancy unless you contract malaria or west nile disease - which I believe is remote, depending on where you live.
Stress is not good for you, so try to relax and enjoy it.
