To be honest I don't think you should force anything...let them decide what is best for them. The reason I say this...I know if I was younger and my parents forced me to lets say abort a baby...I would prolly hold a grudge against them...not only that it would be hard to deal with. I would recommend that you let them know you would recommend such and such...but you support them on whatever they decide. This is prolly a pretty stressfull time for both parties...but please don't make it any worse...also inform them of their options.

I am sorry that your family has been put in such a difficult situation. However its is TOTALLY the gf's decision. If she chooses to abort or keep the baby, he is responsible for the outcome., whatever that may be.
If she asks your opinion, your response should be that you will support whatever decision she makes. Your son has a difficult path ahead of him either way. He however is not the first to be put in this situation and certainly not the last.
Good luck, my thoughts and prayers are with you

It's not your choice either way. At 17, the mother is the only one who has a right to make that choice, personal morals aside. You don't "let" or encourage anything. You discuss and counsel...then you respect her choice. At this point, it's not you son's choice either. He's not the one having the baby and they're not married.
PS..in the US, a girl doesn't go to jail for having a baby out of wedlock.

Let them decide what they want to do and then be there for both of them in what ever they decide. This is your grandchild you are talking about. I wouldn't even think about abortion. I have saw the videos on an abortion and what that baby goes threw while it is being aborted and it is not a pretty sight at ALL!

Well, I got pregnant at the age of 14 yrs. old and my boyfriend was 17.... My dad wanted me to have an abort. and I didn't . through almost my whole preganancy I didn't talk to my dad. Now my son is 2 yrs. old and my dad loves him to death. Let you child and gf think about what they want first.

THEY HAVE TO GET MARRIED FIRST. It would be a very big problem for the gf to have a baby before the marriage. She can go to jail.
