Yes it is. I hold my breath everyday as my husband works in a very dangerous field. Almost everything is in his name, LOL except the stupid boat! Anyway, it'll be my problem if something should happen to him, as well as sorting out all the title info. I hold my breath and have a puptent just in case I need it.

"Unsecured" debts? Have you been gambling? How does one get enough "unsecured debts" to be concerned about? Whoever holds the IOU's knows his best chance of collecting is from you, not your heirs.

Yes she will be responsible for all the bills.That's what happens when you get married.Unless you incorporate a Family Limited Partnership and transfer all assets to a company name.Seek a sm busisness attorney.

The law is different in every country.
In UK the loan is on you only. Also even if your marital home is in your sole name and you put it up as security, they can not take it from you, because your wife is presumed to have an interest in it and they should have asked her to sign. So it depends on which country you live in.

debts are not transferable...they may sell all ur assets after ur death and claim back the money or write off if there's nothing left.

If you are married, your debt =her debt. Doesn't matter which of your names is on it, it is both of your debt if you are married
