If a man who is intimidated by a confident woman is "insecure", than is a woman who is intimidated by a confident man "insecure"?

With your reasoning I believe she would be. Is that the way society would view it though? I don't think so. Double standards at work.

A lack of positive re-enforcement for children such as never receiving love, or affection, guidance or discipline often develop low self-esteem and are unable to cope with social situations as well as the current pressures of life.

Insecurity can be in either male or female depending on many circumstances that could have affected them in earlier years causing low self-esteem. i don't think she will be insecure, i mean she got herself a confident man, that will be so blissful. a confident man will earn good money and will have a car, a house. so why should the woman be insecure?

Maybe, Both need to have confidence and self esteem to have a good relationship. They may take turns at being dominant in a situation.Insecurities are bad . they cause jealousy and bad feelings and fights. Good communications are essential and each needs to make the other understand how he or she is being made to feel.

i don't believe being either a man or a woman is the root of insecurity. it stems from personal self esteem and worth. let yr light shine
