I would like to see "Tamago/The Quiet One" by Danyael Sugawara, a short film that premiered at some film festivals in 2004. It has sparked my curiosity but all I can find of it is IMDB and various summary information--many in nothing but Dutch (a language I am not acquainted with, unfortunately).

Is it possible to buy (or even download if worst comes to worst) this short film?

Best bet is to check the IFC or Sundance channels. Or, as someone pointed out earlier, to check out NetFlix or the like.

Net Flicks carries stuff like that on DVD with subtitles.
Also most large cities have small theaters that show indi films and have mini festivals. Check your local free paper and you will be pleasantly surprised.
