Excellent movie. It's not really a movie, more like an educational video, but great nonetheless. I consider myself an independent who does not vote for democrats on a moral basis, but this is not a political matter. It's a human matter. See the movie.

I knew that i had to see this documentary after hearing the good 'buzz' about it at the Sundance Film Festival. Al was funny when he came out on stage and delivered this line "Hello, I'm Al Gore, I used to be the next president of the united states"...then the serious message of global warming began to unfold in a series of shocking visuals and statements of how:

1) the recent years have had record hot temperatures, with last year being the hottest ever.

2) the mountains are losing their snow-caps, especially Mt. Kilimanjaro

3) the Arctic ice is melting faster each year

4) tens of millions would losing their lives due to the flooding of higly populated coastlines

5) tornadoes and hurricanes like (Katrina) would increase in strenght and frequency

Towards the end, the film offered us ways to help reverse global warming effects starting right now.
these statements by Gore made an impact of me "this is a global problem, and our ability to live is what's at stake".
