I think so, if we did it right, it could help the baby boomer's with the social security issue.

All other social issues aside. Illegal immigrants who pay into social security do benefit those in this country who can get social security benefits, be they baby boomers or anyone else.

Why, it's because the illegal immigrants will pay into the system but because of their status, they will never be able to draw from the system.

Whether right or not, a coworker of mine said today that this economy could not work without the illegal immigrants.

Politicians puffery aside, they have to realize this is true too.

Oh, and by the way, I think it's deplorable to take something from anyone who doesn't understand enough about "the equation" to know if they are getting a good deal or not. I wonder how many illegal aliens who have SS taken out really know that they are funding a benefit for only those of us who are legal will get.

The baby boomers created themselves an issue... reliance upon someone else to solve their problems. There is a reason it's called SOCIAL security... it's a socialistic ideal. Is it really the rest of societies problems to clean up THEIR mistakes? Rule #1 in life should be to take care of yourself without being a burdon on others. Rule #2 see Rule #1.

I need more info to give you my opinion. social security was started by democrats and than they started taxing the crap out of it. it was not meant to run that way.and it was most diffinently not meant to be used for other programs but it was.......
