I'm from a far away country with a different culture. I'm inlove with a white guy from America. My people get jealous whenever we roam around town. Some people think i like him because they think he got money but he's not. Guys in my village calling him names. They think the guy i love doesn't speak the language but hes 100% good at it. I can't go around with him or holding hands in public because my people are jealous and hate him. What should i do.? My father didn't like him at first but he trusted him coz he came to my house everyday and he can speak the language.

Most people are small minded and racist because they do not understand things that are different from what they know and understand. My brother is white and his wife is from Vietnam they have the same trouble with some of the older people in her village back home. He Say's his love for her is stronger that their stupidity.

Unfortunately people are ignorant and get mad when you "forsake your own." I am in a interracial relationship and it is the same. My people are always mad that I am with a white man. My response? Their problem, not mine. Of course you will need to be careful if there is a possibility that someone might get violent with him. When I take my man home to where I am from, I will not hold his hand in certain areas because I know my people will get jealous and they might try to harm him.
I would not let it bother you. As long as you are happy, that is all that matters.

Is he a soldier? Your people probably think he is "intruding". Men from other countries don`t like GI`s (or plain american civilian men) because they think they are taking their girls away. Maybe they think he is "invading" their Territory?
