The disappointments you are facing now will make you a stronger person. Learn to reflect on the decisions you have made and the variables you could not control which also effected the final result. Try to find the positive items which resulted. As for the negative, learn from the negative items and build upon them so that next time the result will hopefully be different. Remember that everything happens for a reason and right now the results maybe disappointing, but the end result maybe better than it would have if you hadn't had to overcome obstacles.

Just take it one day at a time. I hit bottom about eight years ago and was told I have bipolar disorder. Remember, there is nothing wrong with you. Your mind makes you forget the great things you can do and focuses on the failures. Once you know that the only thing holding you back is yourself, you realize that there are no walls and no one can hold you back. Eight years ago, I was a very dependent person with no future. Now, I have a wonderful marriage, two college degree, great job, two cats, a dog that need me, and friends that tell me all the time they are glad I am part of their lives. Oh, and call your mom/dad more. That really helps.

There are always more than one view to anything. Where you see a life time of disappointment I see a Hard working person succeeding everyday. Life has never been fair or easy. We can only take it day to day. You need to find the good points of everyday. You need to remind yourself of all your successes. Everyone has as many successes as defeats. The only time your successes stop is when you stop. Continue what your doing but everyday from now on remind yourself of at least one success everyday

I've found therapy to be extremely helpful. If you're not really connecting with your current therapist, I encourage you to look into finding a new one. I went through about 4 or 5 of them before I found one who really did the trick. Good luck, and keep up the good work!

I suffer from the same thing you are asking about. Here is something that I have just recently accepted as fact. I am still here and I still find happiness in a lot of things in my life. I have convinced myself that I will squeak through ANYTHING that comes my way. How do I know this for sure? Because I ahve already been doing it all my life.

think not only of yourself but also of others. you, my dear, are not the only one in this world with problems. i'm not just trying to tell you that there are others worse off than you are, but there are--yes, there are, no matter how much you are saying that there aren't. anyways, now that we have established the fact that there are others worse off than you, consider trying to do something for them. i know it sounds crazy, but just bear with me for a sec. when you're down, don't you wish someone would help you out? just start by trying to smile more at other people. smiling can do more wonders than you will ever know. and, don't doubt yourself. God has confidence in you. you just have to believe that He will help you through whatever it is that's going on.

You vent that energy through self expression. You've paid a heavy price for having it you might as well capitalize on it.

Stop trying to make the right choices and just do what ever you want. Hopefully it's the right choice if not oh well. People get over it and move on.
