We've had 4 movies of the old Superman....I had a tough time accepting this new guy into the shoes of our previous Superhero!

It still wasn't Superman without Reeves. I remember the first time we saw the new guys face in the movie. I kind of perked up and thought, that's not Chrisopher Reeves. Then I remembered I was watching a new one. The one thing that I didn't like was the fact that at the end when he's flying off. He never puts out the one arm. That is classic Superman fasion. Instead, this guy drops them both to his side. Not to thrilled about that little thing.

To keep this short. Don't get me started about Spacey playing Lex. Spacey is a great actor, but not the evil type. He did a great role, but I prefer him doing others.

I was a fan of Superman long before Christopher Reeves put on the suit. For me and Bryan Singer, and several "older" folks saw George Reeves as the live-action Superman. Superman is not a part or an actor, it is an iconic charactor that is over 50 years old! Your great grand-children might gripe that the new Superman doesn't "feel" like Brandon Routh. I understand for non-fans of the comics can have a hard time getting over Christopher, but for me, and several others, it is Superman, not the actor portraying him that interests us.

I was thinking about Christopher Reeve all the way up until the movie started. I completely bought Routh as Clark Kent and Superman, and I can no longer picture anyone else as another movie-Superman. He was a brilliant. RIP CR.

I never really saw the old Superman movies and therefore thoroughly enjoyed Brandon Routh as the new Man of Steel

I kept comparing the looks of the two. Having never seen all of any of the other movies, I was not comparing abilities, just the looks. I don't think they could have picked anyone to look more like Reeves.

He did have the "Clark Kent" mannerisms down, reminded me a lot of Reeves.
