I have a pc with trident video accelerator Blade 3D, 997 MHz, 184 MB ... sims 1 worked fine with all the expansion packs but I just can't play Sims 2 without waiting forever... I'm about to cry... can someone tell me how to fix this?
I don't want to buy hard drives or something...
Is there the cheapest way to run sims 2 smoothly? Please help!

Your pc isn't fast enough. The system requirements for Sims 2 is at least 1.5ghz processor and 256mb RAM. Sims 1 has less intense graphics/programming, so it doesn't need as much to run properly. All newer games are going to require more powerful pcs to run.

Hmm check to see if you have enough memory on ur Hard Drive. Also, check the minimum PC requirements.. I would recomend deleting the previous Sims games off of ur computer all together if you don't need them and delete any other useless things off of ur hard drive
