Received ticket today for red headlight covers after year of no trouble from county or state patrol. Have talked to officers prior and understood they were legal as long as they didn't flash to impersonate emergency vehicle.

All headlights in GA (while at use at night) have to be clear and have to reach a certain distance. sorry don't remember the code.

The red/blue light rule is another law, and is if they can be made to flash, guess what that off/on swith or the low/high beam going back and forth can look at a flash.

I impounded or held the perosn on the side of the road till they took any light possible of flashing off thier cars before.

But any headlight on a car/truck or motorcycle has to be clear/white. It is in the 40's code of the GA code.

Most police officers can care less, but you will get a few like like those more obsure traffic laws. We used to try and see who could find the most less used law and stop someone for it each week where I used to be at.

You must be afro to put that on your motorcycle ... I'd give you a ticket too .Thats as stupid as driving around with only your parking lights on after dark . If you get hurt the 1st thing you want is sue the insurance company and get a disability check from the tax payers ... You're a real dumb *** /// Put a bone in your nose and a lip strecher in your lower lip and go home where they love to act like animals, kill , rape and steal ////

You may not display a red light (flashing or not) on the front of a vehicle unless it is an emergency vehicle. This is universal throughout the US. The light does not need to be turned on to be illegal.
