Your ovulation usually happens in the middle of your cycle.Calculate it, if your cycle is 28 days, ovulation and propably pregnancy will occur most likely on 12 to 16 days. If your period is really close, chanses are- you are not pregnant. Pregnancy tests will not be helpful that early. Just try to calculate your own period/ovulation days and ask yourself, if you can take the risk and possibly have the baby. You have to decide, how the possible pregnancy may affect your life. If you choose to take the pill again, you'll be OK health wise, most likely, if you are healthy(we don't know your health history). just try to be a little more careful next time. Just a suggestion- try to use Baby Blue ovulation monitor(costs about $200) if you and your boyfrend hait condoms. It shows you pretty accurately then your ovulation happened. I used it for 2 years now, we use condoms before ovulation and none after. Worked. Hope, I was helpful, good luck!

It depends on when you ovulated. If you have "normal" 28-day cycles and ovulate at day 14 and your period is due in a week, your probably couldn't have gotten pregnant because you'd be on about day 21 of your cycle (you are most fertile the day prior to, the day of, and the day after ovulation, meaning from days 13-15 or 16 of your cycle if you have a 28-day cycle and ovulate on day 14). Although, sperm can live in your body for up to 5 days (MAX) and thus there are technically up to about 8 days you can get pregnant if you time intercourse right prior to ovulation. So, in my opinion, it'd be impossible to get pregnant if you have sex more than a day or two after ovulation. If you have no idea when you ovulated, there's really no way to tell if you could have gotten pregnant, so you'll want to take whatever precaution necessary to avoid pregnancy. Just remember that if you are normally regular, that might not necessarily be the case this month and you could have ovulated late. Just do what you need to to cover yourself if there's any chance that you could have gotten pregnant. AND BE MORE CAREFUL NEXT TIME!
I know you didn't ask your question to get a lecture, but seeing as you've already been in this situation twice already, you need to get on birth control or at least wear condoms (correctly!) or do something to prevent this situation in the future if you're going to continue having sex and don't want to get pregnant. If you're this concerned about getting pregnant, you're apparently not ready for a baby and you're going to end up pregnant sooner or later if you continue the way you're going. You need to learn about your body too. Your body gives you signs when you're nearing/in your fertile time and this would be good info for you and every woman of fertile age to read up on. In my opinion, you shouldn't count on these signs to determine when to abstain unless you're very committed to doing everything by the book and being very serious about it. Some people don't think natural family planning works regardless of how serious you are about it. I'd advise to talk to your dr. about the method that will work best for you. Your method (or lack of one) obviously isn't working.

It worries me to see all these woman asking all of these basic questions about their bodies and their cycles….and then getting all these different answers – and usually most of these answers are WRONG!
This is my standard answer......... go get a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive. My Doctor recommended it to me and after 1 year of trying I got the book. It worked the very next month. It turns out that my timing was wrong due to mis-information. I hope it helps you, too! It's not only about getting pregnant. It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths!

Yes, you could be pregnant.
Can I ask, Why don't the two of you use birth control?
If you've been counting on withdrawl - no wonder you've had to take the morning after pill twice.
Birth control pills, diaphrams, condoms with a spermicide - these are not so hard to get. And, don't fall for the "honey, it won't feel the same".....................
And, since you obviously don't WANT to get pregnant, why aren't the two of you doing something to PREVENT IT. Not trying to take care of the problem AFTER the fact.
Have you ever thought about how many other girls he's had unprotected sex with? STD's!!!!!
Does he have any ""little" hims out there somewhere?
Care enough about yourself to take care of yourself.

Take it! OMG You could totally be pregnant! Don't worry, I've taken it about 5 times (but not in close time periods). I'm okay... A pregnancy test might not be accurate if the intercourse happened last night..

One of the most brutal things I ever read was a guy who put forward the idea that a couple of pregnancies and abortions were good for a girl, because the process would wise her up, settle her down and lead her to become a woman.

the closer you are to your period, the better chances is that you're ovulating, so even if you weren't that night, sperm lives in you for 5 days... so ouch!! talk to your OB doctor... You got a pretty good chance to get pregnant...
Don't do this again!

I think you need to stop wasting your money on the morning after pill and start spending it on condoms.
