College work is supposed to be done by the actual student themself, come on Mom! But since you asked, you have to tell us if this is supposed to be a classroom presentation, as opposed to a paper, which is what it sounds like from the clues you have provided. Now, the slide show idea has some possibilities, but the whole trick behind a good slide show is the narrative of the person presenting the slide show. I suggest putting together a somewhat thoughtful, somewhat humorous slide show showing various "altered" states of consciousness, from normal waking consciousness(picture of clown), to deep sleep(two kittens curled up next to a dog), to various emotional states like extreme anger(fang-baring Tiger), sexual arousal(any goofy shot of some kid with his tongue hanging out), to mystical transcendence(50 foot wave at Jaws, or the Pipeline). Now, a simple list of various states of consciousness("aka altered")would be the starting point. Then a narrative of some kind should be written, then the slides should be collected. That's the order of doing for this project, now go Mom go! ---UC Steve

Maybe accentuate the role play with masks...like in the ancient greek dramas. perhaps along with a pp presentation in the background to provide a changing/guiding backdrop, the masks can each represent a "state". the mask/state can then dramatize its realm of consciousness; each one given space and respect...and most importantly..each contained (which an altered state pretty much is).

something I did even as i become in summer season day camp that has to do with that: We traced our hand(s) on colored paper and embellished them. you should use paint, crayons, markers, glitter, and stickers. -This interest proves that all of us are available diverse sizes and kinds and characteristic diverse tastes. -no count what interest you do, the little ones will have the ability to work out that their effects all got here out in a unique way. :-)
