First there is the problem of bone density. The longer you are in space the less bone density you have to the point where they would eventually break.

Muscle loss. Whilst you can train in space some muscle atrophy will occur.

Radiation. Without the Earths atmosphere they would be prone to much higher levels of radiation.

In the fullness of time ways will be found around these problems but all the early shots to Mars will need to return or die.

Bringing along all the survival neccessities would be almost as difficult as coming back.

It would also be very dangerous. However, I bet you could get volunteers.

It would be a lot more likely that we would send a family to die there.

Maybe we first need to prove that we can send a spaceship there and back again and that humans can survive the trip without going insane.

that is what they are getting ready to do, the presidents family is going to have a home up there while we all are left here to blow up
