Humans are naturally curious creatures, this is a survival trait. Because if you were caught in a situation where it took smarts to get out of, you would probaly use something you learned by asking a question either to yourself or someone else.

I've always just assumed that people ask questions to learn more, and to make sure they can understand what is being taught to them.

People should ask more (good) questions than they do. Just like little kids...Why? ..... How Come?.....When?..... That's the best way to learn. Be Inquisitive.
