I figured out a way to reduce my expenses so i could quit a high paying full time job I hated to work 30 hours a week at a much simpler job. I can now live my real life!!
I also started taking yoga classes twice a week for the last 6 months. it has been shocking ly effective at stress reduction.

I haven't! I'm getting married in a month. I know that walking as much as possible, planning at least a 30 minute walk outdoors each week and listening to relaxing music all help me deal with stress. To deal with the stress of getting married, I have lots of friends helping me. Asking for help from friends, family and co-workers is also a good coping method that turns stress into positive energy and helps me focus on what needs to be done. It's the worry of trying to deal with stress that can be a killer, so I've just quit worrying!

Well, I think you have already started the process by acknowledging your stress and being open to doing something about it in a healthy way. For me, I accepted the fact that I am a human being. I am not perfect. I can only do the best I can do at any given moment. I learned to say no and mean it! Long walks and really hot baths help a lot too. So does getting rid of the clutter in your life and taking a job you really love--even if it pays less money. Best wishes.

There is no way to reduce the stress of men in a woman's life. You can't live with them and you can't live without them as the old cliche goes.
They are all the same except for their faces. Those are different so you can tell yours from you neighbors.

A good Bordeaux merlot... just a glass when necessary after or during a hard day. If you're not a drinker (or are pregnant or breastfeeding...well, not YOU, stud. Just in general) consider listening to mellow tunes, such as "Sailing" by Christopher Cross, "Let it Flow" by Toni Braxton or "The Prettiest Thing" by Nora Jones or "The Way You Look Tonight" by Nora Jones, or "Strolling" by Prince or... you get the picture. Also, rise before most creatures and walk outside on the moist earth barefoot in silence for a few minutes after dawn. Pray and try to trust God more. Smile..it releases chemicals that relieve stress. Lastly, take a warm, sudsy candlelit bath. Lift your hands from the water slowly and listen to the drops descend from your fingertips to the water. Ahhhh... No more stress . . .

I learned to pick my battles. At my old job, I was uptight and used to get upset about little things like co-workers not cleaning up after themselves in the kitchen and leaving paper jams in the copiers. So silly! I made a conscious decision that if it was not my responsibilty, didn't affect my job, and didn't do any real harm to the company, to just LET IT GO! I hope people noticed the difference. It did help me.
But, in this particular case, it wasn't enough. I had an average commute of 45 minutes to work in the morning and one hour + in the evening. It really got to me after four years. I ended up quitting that job and eventually got another. The new job paid a bit less, had less responsibility, but had a 25 minute commute each way. I am much happier now.

I believe that the key to reducing stress in your life is using self-reflection to discover what triggers stress and then work to eliminate those triggers. For some people, the development of technology (such as computers, cell phones etc) are what have caused stress so they work to eliminate them or develop "key time" where they do not use them. Finding these key triggers are also the key from eliminating them, as best as possible, from life.

Here are three things I do:
1. Exercise regularly.
2. Adopt a pro-active attitude - deal with matters long before they become critical, if possible.
3. Use of soothing/religious music, both instrumental and vocal. I play a saxophone (my wife objects to the volume), a guitar (she likes that), and an electronic keyboard. I play none of them too well. But then again, I'm not doing a concert. I play and/or sing; OR I listen to professionals, e.g. Mozart, etc.

Over the years I have used writing in a journal to eliminate stress. Sometimes meditation works when I don't have time to write. People have alot of time on their hands but when anger and stress come afoot, they let stress get to them. By focusing on something other than the negative aspect, your stress fleets away....

I prefer having an outlet, something you put everything into to just relieve stress, usually a sport. Tennis is good but i prefer swimming since when your swimming and swimming right, when your in the water you just watch the floor as you swim and it's peace ful you don't think of anything and i relieves alot of my stress.
